Oproti MOO sa mierne zmenil štýl hry, užívateľský interface, grafický engine využíva SVGA rozlíšenie a pribudla možnosť multiplayeru. Hráč má na výber z 13 rás a hlavným strategickým prvkom je udržanie rovnováhy medzi požiadavkami na jedlo, produkciou, peniazmi a výskumom.
