NASCAR Thunder 2004 je simulátor závodov. Môžete pretekať na 23 originálnych tratiach alebo na 11 vymyslených tratiach. V hre sú štandardné herné módy - kariéra, time trial alebo single race. Svoje vozidlo si môžete pred jazdou detailne nastaviť. Cez LAN alebo internet, na ktorom si môžete zahrať aj s 16 hráčmi.
